The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

Travis Lucas didn’t make it to the meeting in time to introduce the speaker, so good ole Will Peckham filled in and introduced Bryan Daniel from Georgetown who is Director for the State of Texas for the USDA. Bryan gave us an introduction to the functions of the USDA in this area of Texas and was very eloquent in describing their goals of helping rural areas and towns to upgrade their goals by providing seed money to help them entice new enterprises to come to their respective areas and town.

Tino Hernandez, a member of the Round Rock morning Rotary Club gave us an update on the Saltillo Project and urged us to help with Annies Way’s annual Thanksgiving Dinner at Saint Barnabas Church.

There is no meeting this Thursday November 24th in case you forgot.

President Lori presented us with a slate of Officers for the coming Rotary Year—they were approved and will be voted on at our next meeting. I didn’t get to get a copy of the Slate of Officers and now I can't contact Lori or Carol to get their names so I could publish them in this issue of the Rock before it go to press ( for you aggies , that’s journalism Lingo).. But , anyhow, you already know who they are and we get to vote on them (or not) and this will all be cleared up at our next meeting , which in not this week, since we are not meeting this week due to it being Thanksgiving-------So----- we wish all of you a Happy and Prosperous Thanksgiving.
