The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

One of the most interesting programs we have during the year is the Classification Talks—and last Thursdays talks were no exception--- Julie Thomas, Doug Cornwell , Norman Schiele and Sid Gervais gave us interesting rundowns on their lives and each one we so very interesting—we really have some exceptional people in our Rotary Club.

This week our program will be presented to us by Public Information Officer John Foster with the Williamson County Sheriffs office.

Don’t forget --- Tuesday nite June 6 will be Rotary Nite at the Dell Diamond—it will be a fun nite and we can see some good baseball played by the Express.

No new news on the Pass the Gavel Party, but it will be on June 29 with a time and place to be decided on soon. So, mark your calendars, it is THE party of the year for our club and we don’t wanta to miss it.

One of our Aggie friends was stopped by a Game Warden up at Lake Granger recently with Two ice chests full of fish. He was leaving a cove well known for its fishing. The Game Warden asked the Aggie, " Do you have a license to catch those fish?" "Naw Sir", said the Aggie, "I aint got none of them there licenses, No, You must understand these here are my pet fish" "Pet fish", said the Game Warden. "Yeah, every nite I take these here fish down to the Lake and let them swim around for a while. Then I whistle and they jump right back into this here ice chest and I take them home"
" That’s a bunch of hooey! Fish can't do that!" said the Game Warden.
The Aggie looked at the Game Warden for a moment and then said," It’s the truth Mr. Game Warden, I'll show you. It really works. "okay, " said the Game Warden, "I've got to see this"
The Aggie poured the fish into the lake and stood a waited. After several minutes, the Game Warden turned to him and said, " Well???/"
"Well?? "Well what ?" said the Aggie. The Warden said, " When are you going to call them back?" The Aggie said, " Call who back?" " THE FISH!" replied the Warden.
"What FISH?" answered the AGGIE.
