The Four-Way Test

Of the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?"

Wow – the results are in on the Car Thang--- we netted approximately $22,000. Now we don’t need to do any other Fund Raisers this year. Our special thanks go to Ron Morrison,Will Peckham, Karen Parker,Carol Hearn and all the other Rotarians who worked at the event and who sold tickets and supported this venture.
Carol Hearn needs for us to show more interest in the Relay For Life—she needs more walkers to sign up and participate in this worthy cause.
Last Thursday Scott Evans introduced Dr. Ed Sherwood who presented our program. Dr. Sherwood is the Health Authority for the Williamson County and Cities Health District. He works to improve the local defenses against bioterrorism and is especially concerned with the spread of the Bird Flu virus. With more and more cases of this type Flu bug showing up world wide, Dr. Sherwood thinks we should be especially concerned with this dangerous problem. According to Dr. Sherwood, there is apparently no viable defense as yet developed to protect us from the danger of probable death if we contract the Bug. The best defense as of now is to wash your hands frequently, don’t put your fingers in your mouth or eyes or nose and don’t shake hands with any one. His Suggestion---- bump elbows!

Next Thursday, March 2, Charles Colley will bring us Chris Dyer who is with the Williamson County Historical Museum.
If you have any other news which might be of interest to our Club and for the good of Rotary—please call me or E-mail me.

DID U KNOW??

The other day George White was wondering-If quizzes are quizzical, What are Tests?

Also Scott Swindell asked if pushing the elevator button more than once makes it arrive sooner.

After eating an entire Bull, a mountain Lion felt so good he started Roaring. He kept it up until a hunter came along and shot him. The Moral to this story is: When You are full of BULL, keep your Mouth shut!
