The Four-Way Test Of the things we think, say or do:
|
Did you all receive your E-Invites
to the Pass the Gavel Party? Debby Hoffman spent
a lot of time making this fancy invite and she is really proud of it----Now---
all she wants You to do is – give her an answer as soon as possible
so the Committee can complete plans with the management of the Walburg Mercantile
Restaurant and Biergarten. Our compliments to Debby --- and Eddie Morris for
planning this E-vite and getting it out to each of you . Sooo- an RSVP will
be appreciated and we hope everyone can make the Party and bring a guest!!!!!!
Last week Steve Laukhuf brought our guest speaker to the Club--- Steve introduced
John Foster, Public Information Officer for the Williamson County Sheriff’s
Department. John explained to us some of the Duties of the sheriffs department
and had a spirited question and answer period after his formal talk. Thanx
Steve for a good program.
Well---- we had a great time at the Dell Diamond last nite. Our team managed
to lose but it was a well played and interesting game. Our thanx to Gary Franke
for arranging for our seats and generally being a great host. He managed to
place us in the area where there was a lot of shade, and that was highly appreciated
since it was 97 degrees out there--- or was that the speed at which the Pitcher
threw the ball???? Anyhow, a bunch of us really enjoyed the game and hope
we can make it an annual affair.
Pres Lori reports there will ba a board meeting Wednesday, June 14 at 7:30
am. The meeting will be held in the Conference Room of the Round Rock Serving
Center at 1099 E. Main (second level).
Next Thursday, Steve Laukhuf will bring our program to us—He will introduce
Ro Lowe of the Dale Carnegie Training Inst.

One morning Dale
rushed out to see her Doctor—Fitzpatrick ( Fishn Daddy , that is) . She
was very much worried and all strung out------ She rattlesl off "Doctor
Fitzpatrick, take a look at me. When I woke up this morning, I looked at myself
in the mirror and saw my hair all wiry and frazzled up, my skin was all wrinkled
and pasty, my eyes were blood-shot and bugging out, and I had this corpse like
look on my face. Whats wrong with me Doctor? Doctor Fitzpatrick looked her over
for a couple of minutes, then calmly says," Well Dale , I can tell you
one thang----- There aint nothin wrong with yore eyesight!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three really old guys were out walking along Main street the other day--- First
One says, "Windy , isnt it???-----------Second One says, "No,,,, its
Thursday". Third One says, "So am I, Lets go get a beer"..
