The Four-Way Test Of the things we think, say or do:
|
Last week Steve Laukhuf brought to
us another outstanding program. Steve introduced , very eloquently, I might
add, Matt Baker. Matt is Small Business Division Director of the Texas Commission
on Evironmental Quality. He explained to us the functions and duties of his
office as relates to Air, Water, and Land quality thruout our great state.
Next week, we will not meet at the Library but instead we will all trek up
to Walburg for the Big Party to install the new officers. Those new officers
are:
President: Landy Warren
Vice Pres: Doug Cornwell
Pres. Elect: Will Peckham
Sgt. @ Arms: John Smith
Sec.: Carol Hearn
Treas: Bob McGahey
Asst. Sec." Ebby Green
Club Chair: Fred Daler
Community Chair:Gene Holmes
Vocational Chair:Brian Sellars
International Chair:Mike Martin
And there you are--- that’s an outstanding group , don’t you think?!!!!!!!!!
We will miss our regular scheduled programs this week and I would like to
commend the Program Coordinators we have had this past year-----Of Course
Fred Daler as Chair did a great job and Charlie Culpepper, Travis Lucas, Jeff
Andresen, Kathy Sammons, Charles Colley, Steve Laukhuf all get our applause
for some outstanding programs and we thank them sincerely for their efforts
for Rotary.
Welllllll—I know you will be interested in knowing that this will be
my last Newsletter for a while---- we need some new blood and ideas --- and
it has been a real privilege doing this Newsletter and I hope I haven't offended
any one during the process.
I especially want to commend Eddie Morris. Without his computer knowledge
and skill, we wouldn’t have had this Newsletter. Thanx again Fast Eddie,
I really appreciate your putting up with me this past year.
So, as they say in the journalism world--- this is 30 for me!!!!!!!!!
A note from Eddie Morris:
Carlton-- Thanks for your great work on all the newsletters. At least I never let you know that we could add music to the website or you would have had people singing at their desks....
If you are interested in filling Carlton's
news shoes, please drop me an email and let me know! In the interim the newsletter
will be on "Summer Vacation". Any interesting/useful information
for the good of Rotary can ALWAYS be emailed to me for future newsletters.
You can email me at eddie_morris@hotmail.com or frozenfun@yahoo.com.

Do you have any comments or suggestions for the web site or newsletter? If so, please email them to Carlton at geol51@sbcglobal.net or Eddie at frozenfun@yahoo.com
