The Rock Rotary Club of Round Rock, Texas June 21, 2006 |
The Four-Way Test Of the things we think, say or do:
|
Steve Laukhuf brought us a very interesting program last week—He introduced to us Victoria Lippman , who is Executive Director of the Round Rock Volunteer Center. This is the Center that coordinates programs, recruits Volunteers and keep track of all their assignments. She invites everyone to contact the Center and Volunteer for the many facets community needs (but, you have to have a Securitiy Check). I know that several Rotarians are volunteers in the community and they do a good job, but the rest of us need to consider helping when we have some spare time.
On June 22—this coming Thursday, Steve will bring to us Matt Baker.
Matt is Small Business Division Director for the Texas Commision on Environmental
Quality.
The next big thing coming is Thursday, June 22 from 4 to 6 pm at Keria Teas,
204 Main St.—where Jeannie will be implementing the 2nd Annual "If
Tea Cups Could Talk" benefiting Faith In Action Caregivers of Round Rock.
Then the Real Biggie is June 29 --- our Annual Pass The Gavel Party will be
held at the Walburg Restaurant and Biergarten. The festivities start at 6
pm and dinner will be served at 6:30pm under the tent at the Biergarten and
then the Walburg Boys start playing at 7 pm. This will be great fun and we
will install some new officers

Did you ever Wonder Why??????
If people evolved from apes---why there are still apes????
The statistics on sanity are that one out of every four persons is suffering
from some sort of mental illness. Think of your three best friends---if they
are okay------then its YOU!!!!!
How do those dead bugs get into those enclosed light fixtures?????
Why doesn’t glus stick to the bottle???
