Upcoming Events |
| April 22/23 Relay for Life -- Dell Diamond |
The next big event for us will be Saturday, April 22 at the Dell Diamond---
It is the Relay For Life to fight Cancer. Carol and Sid have put in a lot
of time organizing our participation in this important event and since it
is for such a good cause, we need a large turnout of Rotarians to make our
part successful. It will only take a few minutes of your time and the time
for you to be there is flexible—each of us will walk for 30 minutes
around the Dell Diamond—it is a chain of walkers going all nite long
and its important to not break the chain. You can come and go as you please.
There is entertainment going on all nite long—Movies, dance contests,
Pizza, etc. If you can come on out, you will be forever glad you contributed.
The Special Olympics came off very successfully last Saturday and had the
largest turnout ever. And next year it will be even bigger.
Last Week Fred Daler introduced Ellen Miller who is with the Team Performance—a
Public Relations Group. They lecture and train corporate employees to be cooperative
and successful for their companies. Ellen gave a really detailed slide show
on the Values, Beliefs, and Behaviors in business. She discussed the seven
levels of Consciousness necessary to be successful. They are Service, Making
a Difference, Internal Cohesion, Transformation, Self Esteem, Relationship
and Survival. Ellen is a highly motivational Speaker. Thanx for a fine program,
Fred.
Next week Fred will bring to us J. Milner who will speak to us on Mediation
and Family Law.
NOTICE: On May 18, our meeting will be held at the Forest Creek Golf course – it will be combination Golf Social and official meeting. Golfers can divvy up $39 bucks to play and Lunch will be served from 12:00 till 1:00 pm for $10. The Golf Tournament starts at 1:00 pm

I have a Sick Joke for ya: a man hasn’t been feeling well lately, so he goes to his doctor for a complete check-up . ….--------afterwards, the Doctor comes out with the results_____-"Im afraid I have some very bad news," the Doctor says, "youre dying, and you don’t have much longer" ------"oh, that’s terrible!" says the man. "How long have I got?’---- "Ten," the doctor says sadly. ------------"TEN?" the man asks. "TEN what? Months, Weeks , Year? What??????" The doctor interrupts, "NINE----- EIGHT------SEVEN--------
And then----- IF MY BODY WERE A CAR---- if my body were a car, this the time
would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model-------------Ive got
bumps and scratches and dents in my finish and my paint job is getting a little
dull, but that’s not the worst of it-------MY HEADLIGHTS are out of focus
and its especially hard to see things up close. MY TRACTION is not as graceful
as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best
of weather. MY WHITEWALLS are stained with varicose veins. ----- It takes me
hours to reach my maximum speed and my fuel rate burns inefficiently-----BUT—heres
the worst of it: Almost every time I Sneeze, Cough, or Sputter---- either my
radiator leaks or my EXHAUST backfires!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK___ enough of this!!!!!
